"Last Years Project"
"What A Peice Of Junk !!!"

The Way I Found It!

This was June to August of 97 restoration project.
I usually complete 3 or 4 a year. I find these "piles of junk" laying around in feilds,
behind barns, and on rock walls.

"Parts, Parts, and More Parts"

Misc. Parts

These are the parts as I recieved them from the seller. I had my work cut out for me!

"Working Hard"

Tractor Disassembled!

Worked on this for 10 weeks constantly, 12 to 16 hours a day!

"Coming Together !"

Tractor 50% Complete !

Starting to look like something! Not quite sure what yet!!!

The Motor?

Motor Apart!

Rebuilt this engine with a Reground Crankshaft, new "Over-Bore" kit on the cylinders,
new Bearings, Valve job, new Clutch and everything in between!

"Making Fenders"

Custom Made Fenders!

Had to make new fenders. As you can see, the old ones were rotted beyond use!

"Is It A Tractor Yet?"

Tractor With Tin Work!

This hobby can be addicting! My wife says, "At times I am a man obsessed!"
As I look at it, you can never have enough tractors, or parts available!

"What A Beast!

Tractor On Trailer!

Awful "Beefy" for such a small tractor!

"Almost Finished!"

Oliver Industrial 70!

Still needs engine side covers and decals to finish!

Oliver "70" Specifications

The Oliver "70" series came in a few versions. Row Crop, Standard, Orchard,
and Industrial. All had a 6 cyl continental engine, and the early models had a 5 gear
engine, and the later ones had a 3 gear engine. The size of the engine was 201 CID.
Rated Horsepower was almost 32 at 1500 rpm.

Two transmissions were incorporated in these, one being a straight 4 speed,
and the most popular being a split H, 3 speed, having 6 forward and 1 reverse speeds.

I am always on the look for more junk tractors. If you know of any in
Northern New England, or New Brunswick, Canada, E-Mail me!

"I Even Pay A Finders Fee!"

Fee will be paid for information providing I buy that particular item!
But, don't tell my wife!
