We have Special Events throughout the season of
operation. We list them here for your information.
On Saturday, August 14th 2004 we will be holding our fifth annual "Railfan Day". The museum will be open at noon and as always there is no admission charge at the museum, however, we have never refused a donation. The Oakfield alumni association will be on hand and they are making plans for a baked bean supper starting at 4:00 P. M. Some good country type music will be provided by the Aroostook Acoustics from 3:00 until 5:00.We will have model trains, some running and some just on display.
At this time, Arthur Collier is working with Montreal, Maine And Atlantic trying to put together a program known as Operation Lifesaver. If all the pieces fall into place, we might possibly have a locomotive on display for the day, more on that later.
